Mute of Sound Film Festival

Sometimes, you just have a great idea and you have to execute on it right away. I recently came across a post about a film festival in Calgary called MOS Film Fest or Mute of Sound Film Festival and they are fairly new, this will be their second year I believe. They were asking for designers to submit their ideas for an official poster for their festival that features all films with no sound at all.

These Days I don't often do these types of competitions without monetary compensation because I am just so filled with other work that does pay. However, I thought about this as I was out getting groceries and suddenly a cool design hit me and when I got home, I dropped the groceries by the door and ran into my office where I created the following poster in a matter of 25 mins.

After I sent it off, I didn't give it much thought, but last week they had sent me an email saying that my design was chosen to be the official poster. If you happen to be down in the Calgary Area on October 6th-10th and you are able to go, please send me any pics you see of my work. They have sent me some tickets in the mail, but I don't think I will be able to go this time around.
